(now AI Dock Inc.), established as the first company under BEC’s Company Creation Project, has officially launched “AI Dock,” a preventive healthcare service that utilizes whole-body scans and AI. In conjunction with the launch, AI Dock has raised approximately JPY 260 million in a seed funding round and changed its company name from “Med X Inc.” to “AI Dock Inc.” to strengthen brand consistency. There are no changes to the company’s business activities, representative, or location as a result of the name change.

AI Dock is a preventive healthcare service that integrates imaging examinations, including DWIBS, blood tests, lifestyle information, and other data, with the aim of providing an experience that enables individuals to understand their own health status and use that understanding for ongoing health management. Medical supervision is provided with the cooperation of Dr. Taro Takahara (board-certified radiologist, M.D., Ph.D.), the originator of the DWIBS method.

The seed round includes investment from MRSO Inc., operator of “MRSO,” one of Japan’s largest health checkup reservation websites, as well as other corporations, physicians, and entrepreneurs. The funds raised will be used for product development, expansion of partner medical institutions, enhancement of the customer experience and brand development, recruitment of specialized professionals, and strengthening of the service delivery framework.

Going Beyond “Getting Tested and That’s It”
Japan has well-developed imaging infrastructure, including MRI and CT, and comprehensive health checkups and routine health examinations are widely available. However, a challenge remains in effectively connecting examination results to ongoing health management. Overseas, healthcare services that combine whole-body scans with digital technologies have also emerged. AI Dock aims to bring into widespread use a preventive healthcare experience that combines imaging examinations, blood tests, AI, and the expertise of medical specialists, based on the concept that “the value begins after the examination.”

【Key Features of AI Dock】

1. Whole-Body Scans Including DWIBS
   With DWIBS, an MRI imaging method that does not involve exposure to ionizing radiation, as one of its core examination methods, AI Dock combines it with brain MRI, lung CT, and other examinations to provide an examination experience designed with consideration for the physical burden on patients.
2. Integration of Imaging, Blood Test, and Lifestyle Data
   AI Dock aims to organize multiple types of data in an integrated manner and, in the future, help users understand changes in their health over time.
